Why ‘Gutsy Knowing’?

Well, gutsy means determined, bold, courageous.

About Me

I’m Josephine &
I'm a 'Recovering Rescuer'.

I now support people to find their Gutsy Knowing.

Josephine Knowles has 30 years of charity sector experience, mainly in the Violence Against Women and Girls/VAWG sector.

As a Co-Director and Co-Founder of a charity (supporting women facing sexual exploitation),  I have experience in supporting people to discover their “gutsy knowing”.

Any change we make has to be good for service users. Too often, we think we know best.

The work outlined here is what I found THE most useful or work I wish I had access to when I co lead a charity.

'My team would joke and say ‘WWJD’? or 'What Would Josephine Do?' The phrase became linked with boundaries/ saying ‘no’ more, not rescuing and being clearer about what you need. I would often feel 'my work here is done!'

Testimonials

Testimonials..

'Josephine has offered me keen and needed insight, delivering them in a gentle way and allowing me to come to my own self-realisation on some long-standing challenges.'

'I have found the sessions with Josephine really helpful, as if she has taken me by the hand, up a mountain, to look down on my situation from a different perspective. I have also found it challenging and uncomfortable at times, but I think that's been necessary.'
